L&Q: Shared Ownership homes launching in the heart of Hayes

By L&Q

One, two and three bedroom homes available in Hillingdon

The UK House Price Index reported that the average annual property growth for London was 5.1% at the end of 2021. Yet at a more localised level, areas of London saw a much higher increase in market values, as demonstrated in the West London district of Hayes and Harlington, where house prices were up 8% on the previous year.

With house prices on the rise and major regeneration underway, Hayes and Harlington is becoming an increasingly difficult area for first time buyers to get on the property ladder. Offering much needed affordable housing in the heart of Hayes, L&Q have launched a collection of 76 homes at L&Q at Hayes Village, comprised of one, two and three bedroom Shared Ownership homes.

Transforming the site of the former Nestle Factory in Hayes, West London, Hayes Village will become the capital’s newest urban centre, providing over 1,300 new homes, with landscaped private communal gardens, 388 of which will be delivered through Shared Ownership by L&Q. The wider neighbourhood will become home to expansive green spaces with a walking trail, 200m running track, and outdoor exercise equipment – in addition to a revamped public realm along the Grand Union Canal complete with pedestrian walkways.

Claire Brenlund, Sales and Marketing Director at L&Q, comments: “It has been great to see our homes at Hayes Village in high demand, with first time buyers from the local area and beyond enquiring about the range of apartments. Set in the former Nestle Factory, the project includes the restoration of the original Art Deco and Edwardian Industrial building, making the site a truly unique development with exceptional amenities. The running track, riverside hub and gym, has sparked real interest with buyers, and we’re delighted to be offering high quality homes in Hayes at an affordable price in a building with such heritage and history.

Homes at L&Q at Hayes Village are built to a high specification with open plan layouts designed to maximise the interior space. Kitchens are complete with integrated appliances while spacious living areas flow seamlessly into a private terrace or balcony. Select homes are also available with parking.
