What is the Discount Market Sale eligibility criteria?

Discount Market Sale is a low-cost housing product designed to make homeownership more accessible, allowing eligible applicants to buy new-build properties at a discounted price. Homes under this scheme are available to help low and middle-income buyers living and/or working in London.

Am I eligible for Discount Market Sale?

If you’re interested in buying a home through the Discount Market Sale scheme, you’ll need to meet the following set of criteria:

  • Location requirement: You need to live or work in the borough of the development, and there are instances where this will need to have been for a certain number of years.
  • Income cap: At the time of application, your annual household income before taxes must not exceed 45% of the Discount Market Sale price of the property.
  • Homeownership restriction: You must not already own another home.
