The Shared Ownership scheme offers a more affordable way to buy a home by allowing you to purchase a share of the home and pay rent on the remaining portion. Two key benefits of this are a smaller initial deposit and a reduced mortgage, as you only need a mortgage for the share you are purchasing.
Our customers have flourished in their homes, with many choosing to purchase additional shares over time – a process known as staircasing. This reduces the rent they pay and increases the share they own, with many eventually achieving 100% ownership and owning their home outright.
