Catalyst New Homes: Get on the London property ladder with Shared Ownership
Studio, one and two bedroom apartments available in Ealing
New research reveals the price of the average new build has soared over the last 20 years, with London seeing the biggest jump as average prices rose over 290%.
Helping to ensure first time buyers continue to have access to new build homes in the capital, Catalyst is marketing a range of studio, one and two bedroom Shared Ownership apartments at ARRO.
With one bedroom apartments starting from £40,000 below the average for a one bedroom home in London, ARRO is significantly increasing access to the capital’s property market.
Available exclusively through Shared Ownership, the financial barriers associated with home ownership are lowered even further, with purchasers able to part-buy part-rent their home. Through the alternative home buying scheme, purchasers only require a deposit and mortgage for the share they are purchasing, rather than the full market value. This dramatically reduces the savings and income needed to buy a home – a deposit under £4,000 and income of £34,500 are enough to buy at ARRO.
Catalyst’s collection of homes is part of The Green Quarter, one of the capital’s most ambitious regeneration projects transforming central Southall into a new leisure and residential destination for West London. As part of the masterplan, The Green Quarter will deliver over 3,700 new homes, retail amenities, and 13 acres of green spaces designed in partnership with London Wildlife Trust.
Markus Kendall-Young, Sales and Marketing Director (London) at Catalyst, comments; “Southall is a unique London location that’s fantastic for younger buyers looking to get onto the property ladder. It has a bright future ahead, with regeneration plans like The Green Quarter dramatically increasing the number of new homes and amenities in the neighbourhood, whilst the introduction of Crossrail will make travel across London even easier.
“Purchasing a home in London can feel like a daunting task with incredibly high asking prices and eye-watering deposits to match, but Shared Ownership at ARRO offers a much more affordable alternative. Instead of having to leave the capital to get on to the property ladder, Shared Ownership enables first time buyers to maintain their lifestyle in the buzz of the capital, whilst investing in their own home.”
ARRO’s modern apartments are finished to Catalyst’s customary high standards with premium finishing and outdoor space to every home. Stylish and functional kitchens feature Commodore units, integrated appliances and durable Silestone worktops, whilst bathrooms include contemporary wall and floor tiles and heated towel rails.
Residents at ARRO will be some of the first to live in The Green Quarter and watch the new neighbourhood take shape. At the centre of the new neighbourhood is Central Gardens – a new community park that will stretch over 500m in length, providing the equivalent green space of four football pitches and over 250 trees. Central Gardens will also include a new playground and an impressive water feature, creating a space for residents to gather and enjoy.
Perfect for those looking to head into central London, Southall station is just a nine minute walk from homes at ARRO. Served currently by TfL Rail, journeys to Ealing Broadway take just five minutes, linking residents with the District and Central lines, while journeys to London Paddington take under 20 minutes. Southall stations connections will only improve with the introduction of Crossrail – the new route will provide direct connections to hubs like Bond Street in 17 minutes and Canary Wharf in just over 30 minutes.
At ARRO, prices start from £66,875 for a 25% share of a studio apartment (FMV £267,500). One bedroom apartments start from £81,875 for a 25% share (FMV £327,500) and two bedroom apartments start from £101,250 for a 25% share (FMV £405,000).
