With London Help to Buy, you could purchase a new home up to the value of £600,000 with just a 5% deposit, a 55% mortgage and a 40% equity loan. This product will be ending in its current form in 2021.

If you can’t afford to purchase through Help to Buy, Shared Ownership may be for you. Shares start from 25%* you will only need a 5% deposit of the share value, and will pay a subsidised rent on the remaining share giving you the opportunity to save and buy further shares in the future. Subject to eligibility, maximum household income of £90,000 apply.

Alternatively, if buying a new home is something you aspire to in the future then London Living Rent could be the answer. By paying a reduced rent this will enable you to save a deposit to buy a home within the next 10 years. You will sign up to an Assured Shorthold Tenancy for the first three years, and will continue on a rolling tenancy up to year 10, having the ability to opt to buy your home anytime during that time.
