London and Quadrant: Biking to Barking Riverside
Barking Riverside will offer residents plenty of opportunities to get on their bikes, with dedicated cycle paths set to run throughout the 443 acre development – and Barking station just a 15 minute ride away.
The first phase of L&Q homes at Barking Riverside, Parklands, consists of one, two and three bedroom apartments, all available through Shared Ownership and all homes benefit from access to ample cycle storage.
Creating yet more opportunity for residents to explore on two wheels, Parklands will sit alongside a significant new park called ‘The Wilds’, while ‘Biking Riverside’, a cycle hub offering a number of free services including ‘Doctor Bike’ and cycle lessons, is already established within Phase 1 of the masterplan.
Parklands at Barking Riverside is a collection of 300 new homes available within one of the most ambitious and significant new developments in the UK. A joint venture between L&Q and The Mayor of London, Barking Riverside is one of Europe’s largest new brownfield developments, covering an impressive 443 acres with 2km of south facing river frontage. The scheme will deliver 10,800 new homes, as well as bring commercial, retail and leisure facilities. New schools, parks and River walkways will all become home to an estimated 30,000 people at the former 1920’s power station site.
Homes at Parklands come equipped with contemporary kitchens, complete with gloss pearl units and a plethora of integrated top-of-the-range Zanussi appliances. Pristine bathrooms have smart white sanitaryware by Roca, as well as ceramic floor and wall tiles. The light-filled apartments each have their own outside balcony or terrace.
A selection of one, two and three bedroom apartments are now available to purchase at Parklands through Shared Ownership. Prices for a one bedroom apartment start from £61,875 for a 25% share (FMV £247,500).
