London Home Show Countdown: Guinness Homes
Shared Ownership apartments at East London regeneration project Leaside Lock
Guinness Homes has launched the sale of the first homes available for Shared Ownership at the new Leaside Lock development in Bromley-by-Bow, East London.
Leaside Lock is a new purpose-built development and will eventually see the creation of over 900 new homes. It will form part of the most important regeneration schemes in East London since the Olympics.
The first 12 of 235 stunning Shared Ownership apartments are now available to reserve off-plan and are due to be completed and ready to move into from June 2021. The Shared Ownership scheme is a great way for people who might not otherwise be able to afford a property on the open market, to own a home of their own.
All apartments benefit from a 250-year lease and start at £84,375 for a 25% share of a one bedroom apartment. Guinness will be selling Shared Ownership shares from between 25% – 75%, meaning that buyers will be able to get on the property ladder with a £5,000 mortgage deposit.
James Chatt-Collins, the Head of Marketing & Sales for Guinness Homes, said: “We’re exceptionally excited to release the first phase of Leaside Lock to the public, especially as this is part of a significant regeneration project for the area of Bromley-by-Bow whereby we are bringing 900 new homes to local area. The Shared Ownership scheme is a really affordable way of securing a home and Block A consists of stunning apartments providing high-quality homes in East London.”
The Ground floor will have a lobby, post room and commercial premises. It will also feature a Sales Centre and two show homes. When this development is finished, residents will have pedestrian access directly to and from the Bromley-by-Bow Underground Station. Guinness will also be offering Help to Buy and Open Market sale homes in future releases.
The capital’s no.1 first time buyer event is going digital for the first time on Saturday 24th April! Register for your FREE ticket to the Virtual London Home Show to find out more about Shared Ownership, Help to Buy and the buying process.
