London’s Largest First Time Buyer Event Returns
Thousands of budding buyers are expected to attend the eleventh London Home Show, the capital’s largest event for first time buyers, on Saturday 22nd September 2018.
The free exhibition will be held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in Westminster and will run from 11AM to 5PM.
With 50 exhibitors all under one roof, the event will showcase the best affordable homes – including Shared Ownership and Help to Buy properties – available across London. Offering prospective buyers the chance to explore the home ownership options available to them, the event takes place during Shared Ownership Week, a London-wide initiative designed to raise awareness of the alternative route onto the housing ladder.
Hosted by Share to Buy, the UK’s leading online portal for Shared Ownership properties, the bi-annual event is held each March and September and has welcomed over 40,000 visitors since its launch in 2013.
Nick Lieb, Head of Operations for Share to Buy, comments: “First time buyers need to think innovatively about home ownership. Schemes such as Shared Ownership and Help to Buy offer affordable, manageable routes onto the property ladder in London. We understand everyone has different ambitions and budgets and that’s why the London Home Show is a great opportunity for people to compare their options, get their questions answered and hear from industry experts. All this alongside the chance to view some great affordable homes means we’re expecting high demand for registrations.”
Among the exhibitors will be key players from the London property scene, including L&Q, Notting Hill Genesis, Southern Home Ownership, Clarion Housing Group, So Resi by Thames Valley, Crest Nicholson and Aldwyck Housing Group. New major sponsors for this show include Countryside and London Square – two of the capitals largest private developers, alongside some of the biggest providers of Help to Buy schemes across London and the Home Counties. Each exhibitor will have their own stand, making it easy for hopeful buyers to speak to sales teams and get their questions answered.
Throughout the day, there will also be live Q&A sessions, where industry experts will answer budding buyer’s questions – covering everything from perfecting your credit score to understanding eligibility criteria. Independent mortgage advisors and conveyancing solicitors will also be on hand to offer financial and legal advice to anyone looking to buy their own home.
