Location
Bidford-on-Avon lies approximately nine miles west of the popular and historic market town of Stratford upon Avon. The village offers a reasonably level of local facilities for its size including a supermarket, petrol station, small retail shops and restaurants, two public houses, primary school, church, and village hall. Stratford upon Avon is host to a wider range of retail, health, education, and leisure amenities. The village lies some twenty five miles south of Birmingham and is also within commuting distance of all the other major commercial centres of the Midlands. Access to the motorway network can be gained at Warwick for the M40 and Tewksbury or Worcester for the M5. The nearby village of Honeybourne or the town of Evesham provide a direct service to London Paddington.
Old School Mead comprises a small residential development on the site of the former secondary school on the western side of Victoria Road built in 2006 lying to the west of the centre of the village of Bidford-on-Avon. The development comprises a mixture of two and three storey terraced semi-detached and detached houses and block of flats of similar styles and ages.
