Homeowner Experience: "I moved in just before Covid and have had a wonderful time making this flat my home. The views are beautiful and it is great to have access to both roof terraces, especially in the summer. If you boost the wifi then you can get service on the roof terrace and enjoy entertainment in the sun. There is also a bike parking room on the ground floor with a separate entrance and exit, so you don't need to store your bike in your flat. The entry room to the flat also makes a great workout space. Having the shop underneath the block of flats is very handy for a lazy Sunday morning and there are quite a few parks within walking distance, including Southwark Park and Burgess Park. Surry Quays has a Tesco Superstore, cinema and bowling alley, as well as some restaurants. Just around the corner is a microbrewery that has evening events, live music and other entertainment. You can walk to Aldi, Lidl, and another large Tescos, all on Old Kent Road, with development plans for an area of Old Kent Road to build a centre for the community, which will include a cinema. Central London is easy to get to on the bus, but South Bermondsey is also close to Deptford and Peckham, both of which have great places to go out, without having to go into the busy centre. You can also easily walk/cycle to the Thames and have a walk along the river."
Pocket homes are designed for first time buyers (anyone that currently does not own a home), earns below the income cap and borough restricted and prioritised.
