London Living Rent (LLR) is a Rent to Buy scheme funded by The Mayor of London.

This Government backed scheme enables you to rent a home at a discounted rate compared to renting privately. This helps you to save additional money each month, which can go towards buying a home through Shared Ownership**.

Income restrictions apply. Maximum income threshold is £67,000 per household^.

Eligibility Criteria:
* Live or currently work in London.
* Be able to provide one month's rent in advance and five weeks' rent as a tenancy deposit.
* Have the right to rent - proven by possession of British/EU/EEA Citizenship or a valid UK residency visa.
* Meet the minimum income and affordability standards - this will depend on the price of the home you are interested in.
*1-bedroom apartments priced from £1,204.23 PCM. The minimum income for a 1-bedroom apartment is £41,850 for a single application and £35,585 for a joint application^.
*2-bedroom apartments priced from £1,338.03 PCM. The minimum income for a 2-bedroom apartment is £47,195 for a single application and £40,935 for a joint application^.
* Have a formal tenancy (for example, in the private rented sector) or live in an informal arrangement with family or friends as a result of struggling with housing costs.

You must not:
* Be able to afford a similar home in the local area through Shared Ownership or on the open market
* Already own a property or be in the process of buying
* Have a household income that exceeds £67,000
* Have an adverse rental history, for example, rent arrears or damage to a property
* Have a history of bankruptcy, defaults which include late payments, county court judgments (CCJs) or Individual Voluntary Agreements (IVAs).

Barking Riverside is a landmark development for London along the banks of the River Thames. A joint venture between L&Q and The Mayor of London, and is one of Europe's largest brownfield developments, covering an impressive 443 acres, alongside 2km of beautiful south-facing River Thames frontage. The master plan will deliver 10,800 new homes, the brand-new Barking Riverside Overground station, as well as commercial, retail and leisure facilities.
