ELIGIBILITY

· your household income is £80,000 or less

· you cannot afford all of the deposit and mortgage payments to buy a home that meets your needs

One of the following must also be true:

· you're a first-time buyer

· you used to own a home but cannot afford to buy one now

· you're forming a new household - for example, after a relationship breakdown

· you're an existing shared owner, and you want to move

· you own a home and want to move but cannot afford to buy a new home for your needs

If you own a home, you must have completed the sale of the home on or before the date you complete your shared ownership purchase.

As part of your application, your finances and credit history will be assessed to ensure that you can afford and sustain the rental and mortgage payments.

You must also be able to answer YES to at least one of these questions

• Are you currently resident in the Wiltshire County are and have continuously loved in the Wiltshire County area for the past two years; or
• Are you in permanent paid employment or have a fixed term contract for a minimum of one year in the Wiltshire County area; or
• You have an offer of paid employment for a minimum period of 12 months in the Wiltshire County area; or
• Who is self-employed and works predominantly in the Wiltshire County area; or
• With close family (Grand-parents, Parents, legal Guardian, adult children or brothers or sisters who have continuously lived in the County area for 5 years or longer; or
• You have a connection with the Wiltshire County area through special circumstances, such as a need to receive specialist medical services, services in the area which are not provided elsewhere or support from a close family member; or
• You are currently residing in the Wiltshire County area and is placed in Band 1 for medical and welfare needs and does not meet any of the connection criteria listed above.
